I was The Sun newspaper's Readers' Champion for a number of years, with a weekly column running each Saturday in Britain's biggest selling paper, resolving readers' consumer issues, giving a lifeline to those who may have hit a brick wall.

I now write for the paper's Money section, helping hard-pressed readers both save and make money and find their way through these challenging financial times.

I also write consumer reports for magazines, on subjects including pensions, insurance, money-saving advice and the global financial situation.
